Why you should stop feeding the Sugar Addiction

Posted on December 27 2020

We grew up on it. Its in so many foods now-a-days. So why is it bad for you?

In a nutshell, your body just can't handle all the sugar. To keep it nice and simple, when you eat sugar it goes into your bloodstream. Your pancreas pumps out insulin to scoop up the sugar into our cells so that your body can use it for fuel.

Sounds like a good thing right... Well not really. Over time your cells stop responding to the insulin and you become insulin resistant. Your pancreas starts working overtime to create more insulin to make your cells scoop up that sugar and use it for fuel. But it gets overworked and it becomes an endless cycle. If you have too much sugar in your bloodstream, it can severly damage your body.  Yor body is pumping out lots of insulin, too, telling the liver and muscles to store blood sugar. When they’re full, the liver sends the excess blood sugar to fat cells to be stored as body fat. Yep, weight gain. And what’s more serious, the stage is set for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes.

So what can you do about it? Well stop eating sugar. Seems simple right... Ditch the sugar. So a little research and find all the sugar and sugar substitues that are damaging to your body.. You can start here...
